Every international shipment arriving into the United States is required to have some type of entry filed. You the Importer of Record define the type of entry that meets the needs of your business and a Licensed Customs Broker carries out the entry transaction.
Most common import entry types for this market are In-Bond (Immediate Export), Consumption Release, Bonded Warehouse, or FTZ Admission.
A Licensed Customs Broker is an individual or Company that is authorized to transact Customs Business on behalf of others, specifically the importer of record.
The Customs Broker prepares and files documentation for entry, arranges for payment of duty, represents the Importer of Record in Customs matters, and is the information resource on customs matters.
In order for a Customs Broker to represent the Importer of Record and transact Customs Business on their behalf, a Customs Power of Attorney must be completed.
If you are ready to get started, please call the CTC Customs Brokerage office at (956)686-4351.
